About the Author
Nikisha Watson is a Trinidadian born author and blogger, living in the UK with her husband, three children and their dog. As a Trinidadian mother raising English children with a love and admiration for her own culture, it’s important to her that her children understand not only her ancestry, but that of others all over this beautiful planet. She is on a mission to spread this message of embracing cultural and ethnic diversity to other children around the world and starts by introducing her Caribbean islands.

The first of her ABCulture Collection of children’s books entitled ‘Alphabet Adventure in Trinidad and Tobago’ takes the reader on an exciting journey through her own country, Trinidad and Tobago, exploring places of interest, food, animals and culture for each letter of the alphabet. This book aims to help children to appreciate different cultures which can go on to ultimately influence their views, their values and a large part of their personalities. Nikisha finds joy in using story time to create memories with her children and she has incorporated her love of bonding with her children through reading with the desire all parents have to educate their little ones on not only traditional academia, like the alphabet but about world cultures.
